This mature bald eagle was found grounded near Debert, Nova Scotia. It had a variety of wounds consistent with a territorial dispute. One laceration on her leg required sutures. She was x-rayed for broken bones, none were found, and her blood tested for lead poisoning.
After 2 weeks of care in our nursery building the stitches were removed and she was moved to the Big Jeezley for flight rehabilitation.
How To Spot Her
She is currently the only eagle in the flyway that does not have a leg band. We will add one prior to her return to the wild.
